Peter Barnes Biography by Gary James

PLEASE NOTE: These are unsigned copies

The official Peter Barnes biography has been long awaited with stories from his career, life and childhood in Manchester and Wrexham.

With particular focus on his footballing career with Manchester City, West Bromwich Albion, Leeds United, Real Betis, Coventry City, Manchester U*****, Tampa Bay Rowdies and, of course, England.

At the age of just 18, Peter scored the opening goal in the League Cup final in 1976 against Newcastle. A bright future beckoned for Peter and City until he was sold by a returning Malcolm Allison.

There are quotes from people connected with Peter throughout his career and archive material, making the book a very insightful read into one of footballs legends.

Written by Manchester City Seasoncard holder Gary James, the author of over sixteen books on Manchester football, including Manchester City Folklore and Manchester City Women: An oral history (both also available from The Ginger Wig's City gifts).
